Interviews have different durations, depending on the interview type. They range from 10-40 minutes, depending on how long of an episode we are creating for you.

While it’s best to do your interview in one sitting, if you happen to get interrupted—it’s okay. You can stop the interview by pressing “Stop interview” and resume later. When you resume, you’ll be asked if you want to restart from the beginning, or resume where you left off. Make sure to “Resume” if you want to pick up where you left off.

Our interview is powered by very new AI technology, so sometimes, things can go awry.

A couple small things to note:

• If Sam seems to get confused, says something that doesn’t make sense, or doesn’t respond quite how you’d expect, pressing the “Next Question” button usually resolves the issue and gets Sam back on track.

• If you find yourself stuck with a spinning wheel for over a minute, something has gone wrong and Sam may not recover. You can stop the interview, but don’t worry: we will have saved everything you’d recorded up to that point.

• You can leave feedback on the interview during the experience by pressing the feedback link (on desktop) or pressing the comment bubble (on mobile).
